The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) test makes use of advanced instruments to measure the level of electromagnetic radiation that is absorbed by the human body, particularly the head. The amount of electromagnetic radiation from a cell phone that is absorbed by the body varies considerably. What phone is used and how that phone is used and held is of the utmost importance. In a test quoted by ABC News it has been found that 4 out of 5 tested types of phones emit too much radiation. A cell phone emits radiation to all sides and the concern for its damaging properties is aimed at the radiation that is absorbed by the body, and by the head in particular. How can I protect myself against possible harm? Do I have to use a hands free set?
